What I Wore Wednesday Week 3
I'm linking up to Lindsey at The Pleated Poppy for week 3 of What I Wore Wednesday.
It's August, and I can feel summer coming to an end. So, I'm trying to make the most of these final days of freedom. I can't think of a better way to do that than spending time with my family and friends. I probably won't do another WIWW until school starts. Hopefully I'll have it together enough to remember to take photos in the chaos of our morning routine. Anyway, here's week 3.
Sunday: Church
White Cardi, black capris, black camisole, red flats: all from Gap
Necklace: Purchased from Missionaries from India who were visiting our church
Monday: Grocery shopping
Bermuda shorts: J Crew (outlet)
Black shirt: Ann Taylor LOFT. I like the eyelet lace detail on the shoulder.
Black sparkly flip flops: Kenneth Cole Reaction. I think I bought them at Marshalls
Tuesday: Went to the movies with my husband to celebrate his birthday. One word comes to mind when I see this outfit—dowdy. I really like the skirt (well, I did) and the shirt is comfy, but it’s just not working for me together. Photos don’t lie. At least I thought the flip flops were cute.
Navy shirt: Gap
Skirt: Old Navy
Paisley Flip Flops: J Crew (outlet)
Wednesday: Lunch and Shopping with friends and church/bible study
Jeans: Seven A Pocket bought here.
White ruffle shirt: Gap (outlet)
Red Flats: Gap (only $8 on sale!)
Cardi: Old Navy (It’s so hot in TX that you normally wouldn’t wear a cardi, but the AC is so cold inside that you usually need one.)
Thursday: Texas Rangers game with family and friends. I’m not one to wear team or sports apparel, but I will wear a team shirt when attending a game. I didn’t understand why that was expected until my husband explained to me that everyone wears the team shirt when they are at the game, and he’s right. My husband thinks it’s cute so I don’t mind wearing it.
Rangers Shirt: Academy
Bermuda Shorts: J Crew (outlet)
Shoes: TOMS bought at Whole Foods
Friday: Lunch and hanging out with my husband and boys. We spent the day having lunch with friends, hanging out at the bookstore and enjoying Pinkberry.
Skirt: Old Navy
White shirt: Gap
Green layer tank: Banana Republic (I don’t think you can see it in the photo.)
Sandals: Gap (I only paid around $10 for these on sale!)
Green Necklace: my grandma’s
Saturday: I worked in the yard all day so nothing photo worthy.
Such cute outfits!

I love the cardigan you wore on Wednesday!! Did you get it recently at Old Navy? I found one that looks just like this for my little girl...I will be on the look out for one that matches for me!! Thanks for sharing your closet with us!
ReplyDeleteAmy, I bought the cardigan from Old Navy this spring (March or April). Good luck finding a matching one to your little girl's. That would be adorable!
