I absolutely love it. Sharon also got a chair (without rockers). They look very similiar to the chair in the picture. I think the ones we got were in their screened in back porch.SHERRY ZEHNERhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14342384870416099284noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5891246452354696936.post-58759073144150331132013-11-03T21:00:12.582-06:002013-11-03T21:00:12.582-06:00Finally I found the correct blog with pics of the ...Finally I found the correct blog with pics of the sewing machine! I saw a tiny pic when I was typing another comment, but when I hit the button to publish my comment it disappeared, so I have been wandering around your blog reading as I searched for it. We were unable to go to Grandma's house until after her funeral, so Aunt Imogene saved some tiny treasures for us. One thing that I have of Grandma Icie's is a small wooden hexagon that she used to cut fabric for the quilt pieces. It also had some of the fabric cut in the shapes. I pieced some of them together to make one flower block for each of my sisters and myself. I plan to take mine and put it in a shadow box with the wooden pattern piece. Because I like to quilt, that was a very special treasure to me. I think I may put your pics of the treadle machine in it too, even though she did quilting by hand. Thanks so much for posting these pics and I'm thrilled that you love the family treasures as much as I do. My blog is mostly my artwork so I'm thinking I need another blog for walks down memory lane and my great vintage finds in junk shops and estate sales. I have often wondered if that lady's family cared that she sold the old treadle machine to a stranger for $30. But I love it so much. I have to keep it in storage now because there's just no room for it in the house. But once the kids are gone I am going to haul that sweet thing back into the house. Looking at yours really makes me miss it!
